French immersion courses in St Raphael

Welcome to St Raphael!

Our French courses in St Raphael provide an excellent environment to study French on the French Riviera.

St Raphael is a small city of 35 000 inhabitants in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeast France. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. St Raphael is situated at 45 mins from Nice international airport, 1 hour 45 mins from Marseille, and 45 mins from Cannes.

Next to St Raphael lies an older town called Frejus. Both cities form an urban agglomeration called Frejus-St Raphael.

The Mediterranean lies to the south of the whole city offering some beautiful large sandy beaches located at walking distance from the town centre. St Raphael has a total of thirty-six kilometres of Mediterranean coastline.

Visitors who would like to take a break from the beach can enjoy numerous beautiful natural scenery outside St Raphael. We suggest the Ile d’Or (Golden Island), the Cape Dramont, the natural harbour of Agay, and la Corniche d’Or, a road connecting Saint-Raphael to Cannes bordered by the most pristine waters in the region.

The Esterel Massif is also a must see. It is a famous volcanic coastal mountain range in Provence composed mainly of porphyry which gives the hills a beautiful red color. Just a bit further, you may also enjoy a short trip to St Tropez, Cannes, Antibes or Nice.
