Our Italian immersion programs in Stresa

Our Italian courses in Stresa are aimed at anyone wanting to learn, improve or perfect their Italian while holidaying in a typical and beautiful scenic resort town.

Stresa is a small town in the Piedmont region with about 5000 inhabitants. It is situated just 90 kms northwest of Milan. The town meanders through the stunning cliffs of Lake Maggiore.

This enchanting small town offers a really wonderful opportunity to learn Italian and savour small town vibes whilst hitting local spots and getting to know the locals.

Stresa has quite a few attractions to keep you entertained. Be ready for beautiful fish from Lake Maggiore whilst soaking in the stunning waterfront views.

A popular attraction near Stresa is Isola Bella, a tiny island with beautiful and expansive gardens around a palace that creates a wonderful sight for sore eyes.

Ernest Hemingway visited the town in 1948, loved it and set part of his 1929 novel Farewell to Arms in the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees.

Stresa really needs to be seen to be believable. Don’t forget to bring your camera as you will want to take lots of memories of this truly scenic destination.
