One-to-One & Two-to-One Japanese courses in Kyoto

Our Japanese courses in Kyoto are offered all year round with a minimum of 1 week stay and can include the following options:

Total cultural immersion

Our full immersion program in Kyoto will give you the opportunity to use Japanese during most of your day with your host family and private tutor. You will be a member of your new family and practice Japanese almost all the time during meals, during your host family’s social life and the leisure activities.

Our program is designed in a way that will allow you to spend time and interact with local people, share their way of life and traditions, their food, their social activities, events and festivities.

It includes private tuition at our partner’s school, half-board accommodation with a Japanese family, and 6 hours of cultural activities every Saturday.

We provide:

Socio-cultural activities

Included in your program are some cultural activities arranged for you every Saturday.

These activities are related to the Japanese traditions as well as the Kyoto local culture and heritage. Examples of activities are:

  • A guided visit to Fushimi Inari Taisha, Nishiki Market – a marketplace in downtown Kyoto, the Zen buddhist temple of Kinkaku-ji.
  • A guided visit to the Imperial Palace, the Nijo Castle visit, the Philosopher’s Path with a visit of the Zen temple of Ginkaku-ji.
  • A hike to Mount Kurama.
  • An origami lesson, Ramen making lesson, and more.

Our Japanese teachers have taught Japanese as a foreign language for many years and use teaching methods that are always fun, dynamic, practical and effective.
