My name is Damien Renaux and I’m the founder and General Manager of Cultura Lingua International.
I was born in France, a country I truly love and appreciate.
From an early age, I had a strong desire to explore and connect with people from different cultures. I wanted to learn and understand their perspectives on life through their language, customs, and traditions. This desire led me to travel the world, including spending a month with the Crow Indians in Montana, USA.
In 2006, I followed my lifelong dream and moved to Australia, where I now share my time between France and the magical subtropical area of Byron Bay, living there with my wife and our five daughters.
My enthusiasm and curiosity for connecting with foreign cultures naturally guided me into the world of language and cultural exchange, where I’ve been immersed for over 30 years.
It all began with organizing student cultural exchange programs for a renowned French organization in London. Later, I founded and ran two French language schools in Bordeaux and Biarritz, France, for 18 years, welcoming over 2,000 international students each year for intensive French language courses.

In a world that greatly needs peace and wisdom, I believe fostering intercultural awareness and appreciation is a powerful way to help.
The rich cultural diversity we live in makes us fascinating as human beings. By acknowledging and respecting this diversity, I believe we foster greater harmony and peace in our communities, our countries, and the world.
Languages and cultures emanate from humanity as the voice of the Earth.
What I love about learning a language is that as we become more familiar with it, we unlock its heritage and history. We gain a deeper understanding of the sociopolitical and environmental factors that influence a country’s culture and its people.
We strive to help our customers truly experience a country’s authentic culture through its language, people, traditions, and unique nuances.
Learning a language is always a rich experience – a profound journey for some – that brings new awareness, potential change within and transformation.
We’re passionate about sharing our love for languages and cultures, and we hope to contribute, even modestly, to expanding people’s horizons and making the world a better place.
