Our English courses in Central England

Our English courses in Central England take place at the Teacher’s Home in and around:

  • Birmingham
  • Leicester
  • Malvern
  • Nottingham
  • Stratford-upon-Avon
  • The Peak District
  • Worcester

Central England is positioned in the middle of Britain. Also called the Midlands, it borders the South East, South West, North West, East of England and Yorkshire and the Humber.

Discover the treasures of the Midlands

Students who enroll in our English courses in the Teacher’s Home in Central England have the opportunity to discover a multitude of stunning places in this region.

Apart from Birmingham, which is Britain’s second largest city, most towns and cities are small, so they become familiar. The people of the Midlands are very friendly. Birmingham is a must visit city with streets lined with Victorian redbrick houses leading to heritage museums and barges drifting down sleepy canals. It is a very dynamic city with a thriving social, cultural, and arts scene.

In many parts of the Midlands visitors will discover areas of outstanding natural beauty, like in Derbyshire, one of England’s most filmed country manors or a Robin Hood trail at Nottingham castle with its towers and gatehouses. But one of the highlights of this region is probably the quaint Tudor town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare. You will enjoy a peaceful boat trip along the Avon, a visit to the town’s modern museums, and if you’re up for it, a nice cup of tea with some delicious scones in a charming tearoom!

Central England is quite unknown to the overseas visitors, and that’s a big part of its charm.
